Annual Covenanting 2025
At JSMC, if you are actively participating in congregational life and consider us to be your church family, we consider you a member and a part of our community of faith!
If you are a member who was not able to attend our two covenanting Sundays, you are strongly encouraged to write your name on a strip of paper and weave it into the map art that is across from the coffee area. (Or, if needed, email Mary at mlapp@jsmchurch.org and she will write your name on a strip of paper for you.)
In lieu of formal membership, each year we engage in what we call covenanting. We speak to what we believe God is calling us to in the year ahead. We then invite each person to how they might participate in congregational life and ministry in the year ahead.
Each member is an important part of living out our mission, vision, and values. We have all been given different gifts and passions with which to serve Christ and the world. We are all invited to respond based on how and where the Spirit is nudging us to actively engage in worship, community, and mission.
This year, our annual covenanting Sundays were February 23 (with the theme of Membership – click HERE to see live stream) and March 2 (with the theme of Discernment – click HERE to see the live stream).
